From the reviews
HIDDEM GEM! That’s all I have to say. This venue is truly a special place and SO beautiful and SO New England. Weddings are expensive and I truly didn’t think I’d find an affordable venue, especially one that would be so flexible.
We needed a small but special venue for a Celebration of Life event and we did not want a Hall or a Restaurant. Once we visited the 1858 Townhouse, we knew it was perfect in every way. The historic venue is a very special place and you can feel it with the vibe as soon as you enter.
I had my bridal shower here and it was absolutely perfect! The space is beautiful, clean, and had such a warm, welcoming atmosphere that made the day so special. The venue is versatile and easy to personalize, which made it feel unique to us. My guests loved it, and everything went smoothly from start to finish.
The 1858 Town House is such a unique and beautiful place to have anything from a small meeting to a fantastic wedding. If you have not visited here, please do so at your next opportunity and tell your friends about it.
Getting married at Sherborn 1858 Town House
Sherborn 1858 Town House comes up for weddings — confirmed on their own site. Two things make the tour worth the drive. First, see it at the time of day you'd actually get married — a barn that glows at golden hour can feel very different at noon, and you'll want to walk the path your guests take from parking to ceremony to reception. Second, bring your real questions: the rain plan (where does the ceremony move?), the catering and bar policy, the music curfew, and exactly what's included with the rental — tables, chairs, setup, and teardown are where quotes quietly diverge. Popular dates at barn venues book 12–18 months out, so if the tour feels right, ask what's open in your season before you leave.
