From the reviews
This park has an off leash dog park and I just love taking my pup here. We watch all the big dogs run around and mingle. I am in love with the barn and the co-op garden. It is worth the visit indeed!
Our favorite in-town dog park. Lots of trees and grass. Your dog should be great on recall as it's an unfenced park. Good amount of parking if there's not an event at The Barn.
It's a beautiful venue for weddings and events. The old barn is beautiful. There are trails and a community garden.
This is a response to Mrs. Sanchez’s one star review below. Ma’am half of the park is a VERY CLEARLY labeled Unfenced dog park in many places. The other half is not. If you don’t like dogs don’t come to a park that is built for them???
Getting married at Hollinshead Park
Hollinshead Park comes up for weddings — confirmed on their own site. Two things make the tour worth the drive. First, see it at the time of day you'd actually get married — a barn that glows at golden hour can feel very different at noon, and you'll want to walk the path your guests take from parking to ceremony to reception. Second, bring your real questions: the rain plan (where does the ceremony move?), the catering and bar policy, the music curfew, and exactly what's included with the rental — tables, chairs, setup, and teardown are where quotes quietly diverge. Popular dates at barn venues book 12–18 months out, so if the tour feels right, ask what's open in your season before you leave.
Corporate events & private parties at Hollinshead Park
Reviews and the venue's own info mention corporate events, retreats, or private parties at Hollinshead Park — barn venues often have real weekday availability since weddings claim the weekends. A quick call answers the three things that matter: weekday and off-season rates, whether the space works for your headcount and A/V needs, and what catering is allowed. If your event lands on a Friday or Saturday in wedding season, ask early.
