If you are looking to have a wedding outdoors in Charleston area, look no further! The gorgeous oaks, pond, bridal suite and tent made this the perfect venue! We were able to personalize by bringing in our own vendors, but needed minimal decorations due to the natural beauty of the place!
Wingate is the perfect place for a wedding! The oak trees with the pond make for such a magical setting. Sarah is such a pleasure to work with- she is so sweet and very responsive to my many emails!
We had our wedding at Wingate in April. April showers were no joke on our wedding day but, Sarah went above and beyond all day and found a way for me to get married under a tree and not under the tent. Even in rain it was the most beautiful venue and all our guests had a great time.
We held our wedding here 11 MAY 2024. Sarah is the best!! She is so easy to work with, and her staff on site day-of were excellent and helpful. They have a list of vendors to choose from, but a wide variety of price points.
Getting married at Wingate Place
Wingate Place comes up for weddings — confirmed on their own site. Two things make the tour worth the drive. First, see it at the time of day you'd actually get married — a barn that glows at golden hour can feel very different at noon, and you'll want to walk the path your guests take from parking to ceremony to reception. Second, bring your real questions: the rain plan (where does the ceremony move?), the catering and bar policy, the music curfew, and exactly what's included with the rental — tables, chairs, setup, and teardown are where quotes quietly diverge. Popular dates at barn venues book 12–18 months out, so if the tour feels right, ask what's open in your season before you leave.
