From the reviews
I'm a vendor and this is a great place to be. The customers are so generous with their compliments and it's always fun to talk with them. It's a good place to meet new people and see old friends. Jan and Rich and their helpers make it all happen.
First and foremost, this is a working farm. The barn is beautiful but old. When you visit, put your phone away and enjoy the surroundings. But also ,be prepared for a truly outdoor event and adjust your expectations. I have enjoyed the farm and guesthouse for years and will continue to do so as my children grow older.
I enjoyed it alot. I liked the horse and carriage ride. I love the big red Barn. It reminded me of home. Had a wonderful time. I will tell my friends about it. The people were very friendly. Keep the good work up.
We went to the Barn Fest today. It was GREAT! The kids loved the hayride the best. My granddaughter says she loved making apple cider with the old thing. I really enjoyed myself.
Getting married at Walnut Grove Farm
Walnut Grove Farm comes up for weddings — confirmed on their own site. Two things make the tour worth the drive. First, see it at the time of day you'd actually get married — a barn that glows at golden hour can feel very different at noon, and you'll want to walk the path your guests take from parking to ceremony to reception. Second, bring your real questions: the rain plan (where does the ceremony move?), the catering and bar policy, the music curfew, and exactly what's included with the rental — tables, chairs, setup, and teardown are where quotes quietly diverge. Popular dates at barn venues book 12–18 months out, so if the tour feels right, ask what's open in your season before you leave.
Corporate events & private parties at Walnut Grove Farm
Reviews and the venue's own info mention corporate events, retreats, or private parties at Walnut Grove Farm — barn venues often have real weekday availability since weddings claim the weekends. A quick call answers the three things that matter: weekday and off-season rates, whether the space works for your headcount and A/V needs, and what catering is allowed. If your event lands on a Friday or Saturday in wedding season, ask early.
