Where do I start? This past weekend, 6.8.24, Dan and I had wedding with 180 guests. All my closest friends and family pitched in. One made the charcuterie board, one made the cake, one did the cookie table, others brought the food from pasta too, a couple others helped me decorate.
I attended an event at Union Barn in New Kensington, and it was absolutely beautiful! The venue has the perfect mix of rustic charm and cozy elegance, with stunning views that would be especially breathtaking in the fall.
Absolutely beautiful place, they didn’t skip any details in the construction and layout of this wedding/events facility! Original barn beams from 1849, beautiful redesign and new construction entirely... Great hosts that help through the whole process of planning, and day of events.
Just attended a bridal shower here and I am obsessed! I would highly recommend this venue for an event or wedding. The owner is really kind and took the time to give us some details about the place. It’s gorgeous and well thought out.
Getting married at Union Barn
Union Barn comes up for weddings — confirmed on their own site. Two things make the tour worth the drive. First, see it at the time of day you'd actually get married — a barn that glows at golden hour can feel very different at noon, and you'll want to walk the path your guests take from parking to ceremony to reception. Second, bring your real questions: the rain plan (where does the ceremony move?), the catering and bar policy, the music curfew, and exactly what's included with the rental — tables, chairs, setup, and teardown are where quotes quietly diverge. Popular dates at barn venues book 12–18 months out, so if the tour feels right, ask what's open in your season before you leave.
