I've attended several events here from private parties (weddings and class reunions) to public affairs (McLain Celtic Festival). Two Mile House is a pleasant venue. The grounds are well kept and well shaded for Summer events. The house is a well preserved building from the early days of Carlisle.
This is such a beautiful venue! I had such an amazing experience at the Two Mile House and loved working with the staff. Highly recommend!
Great music, highlander games, vendors, kid activities, border collie demo. It's small but we love it. Perfect wooded setting.
Getting married at Two Mile House
Two Mile House comes up for weddings, going by their listing and couples’ reviews. Two things make the tour worth the drive. First, see it at the time of day you'd actually get married — a barn that glows at golden hour can feel very different at noon, and you'll want to walk the path your guests take from parking to ceremony to reception. Second, bring your real questions: the rain plan (where does the ceremony move?), the catering and bar policy, the music curfew, and exactly what's included with the rental — tables, chairs, setup, and teardown are where quotes quietly diverge. Popular dates at barn venues book 12–18 months out, so if the tour feels right, ask what's open in your season before you leave.
