From the reviews
I'm writing this review not as someone who booked the venue but as someone who was a guest at a wedding there and member of the bridal party. I absolutely LOVED Takach's!!!
Takach's Grove was the venue of my daughter-in-law's baby shower yesterday, July 17, 2021. I can't say enough about how wonderful Beth, Steve, and the staff made her day! From start to finish, they were attentive and extremely helpful. As you can already see, the venue is beautiful, spacious, and very clean!
This is hands down the best wedding venue in the Scranton area. We looked at a lot of different venues and as soon as we went to Takach’s we knew it was the one. Beth and Steve are absolutely amazing. Booking here is like getting a venue, a florist, a wedding planner, 2 day of coordinators and more all at once.
We can't say enough wonderful things about the venue and the owners Beth and Steve. We had the rehearsal dinner, ceremony and reception at the venue. They paid attention to every detail and took care of things we never even thought of. The way they managed our elderly parents with kindness and respect was heartwarming.
Getting married at The Springs at Takach's Grove
The Springs at Takach's Grove comes up for weddings — confirmed on their own site. Two things make the tour worth the drive. First, see it at the time of day you'd actually get married — a barn that glows at golden hour can feel very different at noon, and you'll want to walk the path your guests take from parking to ceremony to reception. Second, bring your real questions: the rain plan (where does the ceremony move?), the catering and bar policy, the music curfew, and exactly what's included with the rental — tables, chairs, setup, and teardown are where quotes quietly diverge. Popular dates at barn venues book 12–18 months out, so if the tour feels right, ask what's open in your season before you leave.
Corporate events & private parties at The Springs at Takach's Grove
Reviews and the venue's own info mention corporate events, retreats, or private parties at The Springs at Takach's Grove — barn venues often have real weekday availability since weddings claim the weekends. A quick call answers the three things that matter: weekday and off-season rates, whether the space works for your headcount and A/V needs, and what catering is allowed. If your event lands on a Friday or Saturday in wedding season, ask early.
