The setting
“Big corn box for kids to play in, had portable animals out to hold and pet with employee supervision, hay rides, small food things, u can see the horses but not interact with them.”
Amenities couples mention

What couples say again and again
“The setting is beautiful — open fields, friendly animals, and a peaceful atmosphere that feels like a step back to simpler times.”
From the reviews
Went to the " Barn to be Wild" fundraiser today and it was super fun. I loved all the animals ( pigs, sheep, chickens, ducks, bunnies, etc.) and the hay rack ride. This is really a cool place to take the kids in your life. 😊 🐐
We came here to work with the animals through our Veterinary Technician program and honestly it was incredibly rewarding. We learned a lot about how to handle these beautiful animals and it was one of the highlights of my educational learning path.
06.08.19 my son and I arrived a little before 12:30pm( I thought it would be crowded due to it being a “special events day”) a few other families were there and we were told they would get started soon just give them some time. Each section is ran by volunteers and I LOVE that!
Cute little farm. Good for toddlers. My 3 yo loved playing in the chicken coop. I didn’t mind spending $7 pp to support local farmers. They sell popcorn and water- that’s it. Uneventful 15 hay ride, but my kiddo liked that too. The simple things in life…
Getting married at The Children's Farm at The Center
The Children's Farm at The Center comes up for weddings — confirmed on their own site. Two things make the tour worth the drive. First, see it at the time of day you'd actually get married — a barn that glows at golden hour can feel very different at noon, and you'll want to walk the path your guests take from parking to ceremony to reception. Second, bring your real questions: the rain plan (where does the ceremony move?), the catering and bar policy, the music curfew, and exactly what's included with the rental — tables, chairs, setup, and teardown are where quotes quietly diverge. Popular dates at barn venues book 12–18 months out, so if the tour feels right, ask what's open in your season before you leave.
Corporate events & private parties at The Children's Farm at The Center
Reviews and the venue's own info mention corporate events, retreats, or private parties at The Children's Farm at The Center — barn venues often have real weekday availability since weddings claim the weekends. A quick call answers the three things that matter: weekday and off-season rates, whether the space works for your headcount and A/V needs, and what catering is allowed. If your event lands on a Friday or Saturday in wedding season, ask early.
