From the reviews
We truly enjoyed staying at the Chaparral Ranch in Paint Rock. Stayed in the Ranch Cabin for the night on our way up to Amarillo and couldn’t have been more pleased, especially considering the current situation and our efforts to social distance.
We stayed at the Cactus Inn building with family for a wedding. The outside was charming and offered a nice porch with seats, lighting, and fans. The inside was clean and cozy with several rooms that can be either linked or locked off. In the middle was a common area equipped with kitchen, seating, and laundry.
We stayed for 2 nights with our travel trailer for a wedding. This place is amazing. Highly recommend if you are looking for an oasis out in the country. My 3 year old loved feeding the deer, chickens, ducks, and other wildlife and livestock.
It was a wonderful and comfortable stay. Thank you so much for the hospitality! I hope we can stay again. We loved it. Everything needed was on hand and if it wasn’t we left it there for the next guest. Again, thank you!
Getting married at The Chaparral Ranch
The Chaparral Ranch comes up for weddings — confirmed on their own site. Two things make the tour worth the drive. First, see it at the time of day you'd actually get married — a barn that glows at golden hour can feel very different at noon, and you'll want to walk the path your guests take from parking to ceremony to reception. Second, bring your real questions: the rain plan (where does the ceremony move?), the catering and bar policy, the music curfew, and exactly what's included with the rental — tables, chairs, setup, and teardown are where quotes quietly diverge. Popular dates at barn venues book 12–18 months out, so if the tour feels right, ask what's open in your season before you leave.
