From the reviews
If you are still searching for the quintessential Vermont wedding venue, look no further. As a maximizer bride (who searched through hundreds of venues in the state) and an interior designer by trade, I can attest that you have stumbled upon THE most beautiful venue Vermont has to offer.
We are so happy we chose The Barn at Smuggler’s Notch as our wedding venue! It was truly the most magical day. Jamie, Jenn, and Steve made everything run seamlessly—they are such kind, thoughtful people, and they made us feel genuinely special from start to finish.
We had the absolute best experience with our wedding venue! From start to finish, the team was kind, responsive, and incredibly detail-oriented. Throughout the planning process, they were always there to answer questions and offer support, which made everything so much smoother and less stressful.
Jennifer and Steve are terrific. We had the most perfect wedding day, and can't imagine how we would have done it without them. Jennifer is an absolute boss and makes sure your day is everything you ever wished it would be and more.
Getting married at The Barn at Smugglers' Notch
The Barn at Smugglers' Notch comes up for weddings — confirmed on their own site. Two things make the tour worth the drive. First, see it at the time of day you'd actually get married — a barn that glows at golden hour can feel very different at noon, and you'll want to walk the path your guests take from parking to ceremony to reception. Second, bring your real questions: the rain plan (where does the ceremony move?), the catering and bar policy, the music curfew, and exactly what's included with the rental — tables, chairs, setup, and teardown are where quotes quietly diverge. Popular dates at barn venues book 12–18 months out, so if the tour feels right, ask what's open in your season before you leave.
