From the reviews
Annette and Mike were wonderful hosts leading up to and on the big wedding day. Their property is beautiful and we appreciated them opening up Mother’s Day weekend for our big day. Their recommended vendor list is EXCELLENT.
We had a lovely weeding here over the summer! Our guests were all from out of town and completely taken back by how beautiful our space was. We had oyster shuckers for cocktail hour and a waffle truck for dessert. We loved that we could easily bring in our vendors.
I was a guest at a wedding here it was so beautiful, we had the best time all the pictures came out beautifully the lighting the beautiful surroundings amazing.
We got married on September 14th of this year, and to say it was perfect was an understatement. Annette and her husband have created the most beautiful, thoughtful venue I've ever been to. Annette took care of EVERYTHING. She was on top of everything from the second we signed our contract.
Getting married at The Barn at Second Wind
The Barn at Second Wind comes up for weddings — confirmed on their own site. Two things make the tour worth the drive. First, see it at the time of day you'd actually get married — a barn that glows at golden hour can feel very different at noon, and you'll want to walk the path your guests take from parking to ceremony to reception. Second, bring your real questions: the rain plan (where does the ceremony move?), the catering and bar policy, the music curfew, and exactly what's included with the rental — tables, chairs, setup, and teardown are where quotes quietly diverge. Popular dates at barn venues book 12–18 months out, so if the tour feels right, ask what's open in your season before you leave.
Corporate events & private parties at The Barn at Second Wind
Reviews and the venue's own info mention corporate events, retreats, or private parties at The Barn at Second Wind — barn venues often have real weekday availability since weddings claim the weekends. A quick call answers the three things that matter: weekday and off-season rates, whether the space works for your headcount and A/V needs, and what catering is allowed. If your event lands on a Friday or Saturday in wedding season, ask early.
