From the reviews
This is such a lovely place to stay and is quite a change from the normal hotel atmosphere. The price is comparable to that of my usual hotel so I decided to give it a try. The owners welcome you as if you’re an old friend. I don’t know when the home was built but it is old and full of antiques.
Quaint. It's like staying in a museum. Hospitable hosts and a convenient location. I love the varied guests that join for breakfast. Pet friendly. The house cat & I have come to an understanding about boundaries. Walk to each room and take pictures. Americana galore.
We truly enjoyed our stay August 3-8. Our children, my husband and me were very well taken care of, from comfortable accommodations, to the hearty, delicious breakfast every morning. We loved the relaxed, homey atmosphere and highly recommend staying here if you're planning a visit to Muscatine.
This place is WONDERFUL! The bed and pillows were SO comfy, breakfast was yummy and quite filling. The best part though was the warm welcoming natures of Karl, Linda, and Maggie. Conversations with Karl and Linda were insightful, humorous, and had a natural flow.
Getting married at Strawberry Farm Bed & Breakfast
Strawberry Farm Bed & Breakfast comes up for weddings — confirmed on their own site. Two things make the tour worth the drive. First, see it at the time of day you'd actually get married — a barn that glows at golden hour can feel very different at noon, and you'll want to walk the path your guests take from parking to ceremony to reception. Second, bring your real questions: the rain plan (where does the ceremony move?), the catering and bar policy, the music curfew, and exactly what's included with the rental — tables, chairs, setup, and teardown are where quotes quietly diverge. Popular dates at barn venues book 12–18 months out, so if the tour feels right, ask what's open in your season before you leave.
Corporate events & private parties at Strawberry Farm Bed & Breakfast
Reviews and the venue's own info mention corporate events, retreats, or private parties at Strawberry Farm Bed & Breakfast — barn venues often have real weekday availability since weddings claim the weekends. A quick call answers the three things that matter: weekday and off-season rates, whether the space works for your headcount and A/V needs, and what catering is allowed. If your event lands on a Friday or Saturday in wedding season, ask early.
