From the reviews
Spent a beautiful fall weekend at South Eden with my daughter who goes to FSU in Tallahassee - so close (distance and drive time ~40 mins) yet so far away (in terms of setting and vibe, a whole different world).
We had the absolute sweetest stay at South Eden in the Sweetheart Cottage. The property is truly a beautiful, quaint gem with so much charm and character. Every corner feels intentional and thoughtfully designed.
South Eden Plantation is the kind of venue that makes you stop and appreciate every detail. Between the beautiful grounds, mature trees, and timeless Southern charm, there is no shortage of stunning views throughout the property.
Our stay at this plantation was absolutely unforgettable. The honeymoon suite was the perfect getaway—peaceful, romantic, and beautifully designed. The soaking tub was truly divine and made it so easy to relax and unwind after a long day.
Getting married at South Eden
South Eden comes up for weddings — confirmed on their own site. Two things make the tour worth the drive. First, see it at the time of day you'd actually get married — a barn that glows at golden hour can feel very different at noon, and you'll want to walk the path your guests take from parking to ceremony to reception. Second, bring your real questions: the rain plan (where does the ceremony move?), the catering and bar policy, the music curfew, and exactly what's included with the rental — tables, chairs, setup, and teardown are where quotes quietly diverge. Popular dates at barn venues book 12–18 months out, so if the tour feels right, ask what's open in your season before you leave.
