As a professional wedding photographer, I've had the privilege to view and work at many venues in the greater Sacramento region and I can honestly say Silverthorn Meadows in the Apple Hill area is one that really surprised me.
I’ve photographed weddings and portrait sessions at Silverthorn Meadows for about eight years now, including around 10 weddings and many sessions, and it is honestly one of my favorite wedding venues in the Apple Hill area.
Alita and Denny could not be any more kind or accommodating! We booked Silverthorn Meadows for our upcoming wedding this April. Alita and Denny have let us come to the venue multiple times to check everything out and see updates that they have made.
We had our wedding at Silverthorn on 07/16/22. And it was beyond fantastic. Alita & Denny are an amazing couple of people. The venue was BEAUTIFUL, clean, & perfect. They were both super helpful caring people when it came to making sure everything went smoothly for our wedding day.

First, see it at the time of day you'd actually get married — a barn that glows at golden hour can feel very different at noon, and you'll want to walk the path your guests take from parking to ceremony to reception. Second, bring your real questions: the rain plan (where does the ceremony move?), the catering and bar policy, the music curfew, and exactly what's included with the rental — tables, chairs, setup, and teardown are where quotes quietly diverge. Popular dates at barn venues book 12–18 months out, so if the tour feels right, ask what's open in your season before you leave.
