Beautiful, picturesque venue for a wedding. It's has an amazing scenery for an outside reception. Giving it four stars because the owners need to fix the septic, there was a bad smell outside of the restroom area all day.
I'm a DJ so I see a lot of venues. I've been to several barn venues and experiences vary. I have DJed at Scheltema on a cold, windy, rainy day and a 90-degree humid day - not at all ideal weather.
Love this place, seems to get a little better each time we go there. Beautiful setting for weddings and receptions.
My husband and I attended a wedding here just yesterday evening. It was a great place, area and venue, but we both have to admit that having only 2 restrooms is not ideal for a lot of people.
