If I could give Rugged Horizon and Jack and Havila more than 5 stars, I would! It was the most amazing and beautiful place for our wedding and our experience was made even more incredible with the support and the above and beyond lengths Jack and Havila went to to make our wedding perfect!
My wife and I got married at Rugged Horizon in early Sept 2023. I cannot recommend this venue enough. Many of the wedding guests said it’s the coolest venue they’ve ever been to. The only thing better than the views from the venue are the owners Jack & Havila.
A beautiful and calming setting for our two night air bnb stay. Lots of room to roam and sit, a large deck and big bathroom. Would be a great place to hold an event/wedding. Absolutely stunning!
Lengthy Review to express how much we love Rugged Horizon and Havila & Jack: Where do I even begin??? My husband and I (married 10/7/23) truly are so lucky to have had our wedding at Rugged Horizon, even more lucky to have been able to work with Havila and Jack for our special day.
Getting married at Rugged Horizon
Rugged Horizon comes up for weddings — confirmed on their own site. Two things make the tour worth the drive. First, see it at the time of day you'd actually get married — a barn that glows at golden hour can feel very different at noon, and you'll want to walk the path your guests take from parking to ceremony to reception. Second, bring your real questions: the rain plan (where does the ceremony move?), the catering and bar policy, the music curfew, and exactly what's included with the rental — tables, chairs, setup, and teardown are where quotes quietly diverge. Popular dates at barn venues book 12–18 months out, so if the tour feels right, ask what's open in your season before you leave.
