This was my second time staying in the Redwood Cabin at Quilcene Lantern, a venue with a variety of cabins to rent not too far from Port Townsend. The Redwood is a small, charming cabin in the beautiful forests of the Olympic Peninsula – where you are literally surrounded by large cedar, maple, and redwood trees with…
Very cool place to watch bands and to play. Really cool people run the place. Pretty amazing & quaint spot. The barn and staff are so warm & inviting. And they have really cute cabins to stay in. And goats!!
We got married at the Quilcene Lantern and I can’t say enough good things about this place or the family who runs it. The De Koch crew are truly wonderful, kind, communicative, and flexible humans. They set such a calm, supportive tone for the whole weekend.
We had our wedding at the Lantern and it was a truly magical day! The lantern has the best staff, lodging, acoustics and has a wholesome rustic feel while also being chic, clean and well cared for! All things we were looking for in a venue. Great shows here on the regular too with tasty tots. (photo by Howard Tran)
Getting married at Quilcene Lantern
Quilcene Lantern comes up for weddings — confirmed on their own site. Two things make the tour worth the drive. First, see it at the time of day you'd actually get married — a barn that glows at golden hour can feel very different at noon, and you'll want to walk the path your guests take from parking to ceremony to reception. Second, bring your real questions: the rain plan (where does the ceremony move?), the catering and bar policy, the music curfew, and exactly what's included with the rental — tables, chairs, setup, and teardown are where quotes quietly diverge. Popular dates at barn venues book 12–18 months out, so if the tour feels right, ask what's open in your season before you leave.
