From the reviews
The wines were great, the vibe is mid. We came as a group of 6 for a bachelorette. We paid ahead for the tour and tasting which was a waste. The tour was maybe 5 minutes in two locations. The flight was good but the service was a bit slow and not very personable.
We came in (mid-February) right as the restaurant was opening. We specifically came to Newport in the off season to avoid crowds, and we thoroughly enjoyed our visit today. For the first hour, we were the only people there.
Okay- overall a gorgeous venue and great vibe . The game table and charcuterie stand was such a cute added bonus. We went on a Wednesday when there was live music and deals on flights. Beer better than wine. Food sub-par.
We went to Newport Vineyards to check out the new Bistro, which had just opened a few weeks ago. We expected the usual early days hiccups, but this new restaurant ran like a well oiled machine. Service was attentive and friendly, the food (cheese plate and salads) was yummy. And the wine flights were excellent.
Getting married at Newport Vineyards
Newport Vineyards comes up for weddings — confirmed on their own site. Two things make the tour worth the drive. First, see it at the time of day you'd actually get married — a barn that glows at golden hour can feel very different at noon, and you'll want to walk the path your guests take from parking to ceremony to reception. Second, bring your real questions: the rain plan (where does the ceremony move?), the catering and bar policy, the music curfew, and exactly what's included with the rental — tables, chairs, setup, and teardown are where quotes quietly diverge. Popular dates at barn venues book 12–18 months out, so if the tour feels right, ask what's open in your season before you leave.
Corporate events & private parties at Newport Vineyards
Reviews and the venue's own info mention corporate events, retreats, or private parties at Newport Vineyards — barn venues often have real weekday availability since weddings claim the weekends. A quick call answers the three things that matter: weekday and off-season rates, whether the space works for your headcount and A/V needs, and what catering is allowed. If your event lands on a Friday or Saturday in wedding season, ask early.
