From the reviews
This was our DREAM location to get married! We couldn't have picked a more beautiful and accommodating place to host our special day. We received several compliments on how breath taking the venue is, and how cozy the cabins are! The bridal suite and the groom suite were both perfect rooms to get ready in.
We had our wedding here in November and it was absolutely beautiful. The staff are all so kind and helpful. The venue had all of the Texas charm you could ask for. Unfortunately it rained on our wedding day and we weren't able to have the ceremony outside, however, the inside of the reception hall was STUNNING.
I photographed Krystle + David's wedding here in November. This is a beautiful rustic property between Denton and North Fort Worth. Has a lot of acreage with multiple buildings for bride and groom suites. Also comes with a nice outdoors ceremony area and a large indoor ceremony/reception space as well.
We got married during a historical pandemic and a historical snowstorm, and I wouldn't have chosen a different venue. Sharie was on top of making sure everything was in place and all my questions were answered for my big day.
Getting married at Lucky Spur Ranch Retreat
Lucky Spur Ranch Retreat comes up for weddings — confirmed on their own site. Two things make the tour worth the drive. First, see it at the time of day you'd actually get married — a barn that glows at golden hour can feel very different at noon, and you'll want to walk the path your guests take from parking to ceremony to reception. Second, bring your real questions: the rain plan (where does the ceremony move?), the catering and bar policy, the music curfew, and exactly what's included with the rental — tables, chairs, setup, and teardown are where quotes quietly diverge. Popular dates at barn venues book 12–18 months out, so if the tour feels right, ask what's open in your season before you leave.
Corporate events & private parties at Lucky Spur Ranch Retreat
Reviews and the venue's own info mention corporate events, retreats, or private parties at Lucky Spur Ranch Retreat — barn venues often have real weekday availability since weddings claim the weekends. A quick call answers the three things that matter: weekday and off-season rates, whether the space works for your headcount and A/V needs, and what catering is allowed. If your event lands on a Friday or Saturday in wedding season, ask early.
