We were truly so happy with the entire team! Everyone was kind, helpful, and full of great energy. The venue looked absolutely beautiful, everything was delicious and perfect, and we truly felt cared for from start to finish, everything went so smoothly, and we were genuinely pleased with the whole experience.
Hawthorn and their people are seriously some of the best in the business. We had to reschedule our wedding and they were incredible in helping, supporting us, and allowing us to have an intimate ceremony to get married when we wanted to.
Hawthorn Hills is a top venue for me. The space and lighting is clearly made for photographers to create amazing images. More, the staff goes above and beyond for the couples, their families, guests, and vendors. As a photographer, the welcoming and team work was amazing. The hospitality is 10 stars!!
It was perfect! I rented this venue for my Dad's Retirement party/Birthday. We used some of the on sight decorations and they were ready upon arrival which helped make setup so easy! Everything was clean and the space was beautiful. I had about 40 guests and we had plenty of space to eat dance and play games.

First, see it at the time of day you'd actually get married — a barn that glows at golden hour can feel very different at noon, and you'll want to walk the path your guests take from parking to ceremony to reception. Second, bring your real questions: the rain plan (where does the ceremony move?), the catering and bar policy, the music curfew, and exactly what's included with the rental — tables, chairs, setup, and teardown are where quotes quietly diverge. Popular dates at barn venues book 12–18 months out, so if the tour feels right, ask what's open in your season before you leave.
