What couples say again and again
“My recent event, a lecture and heirloom food tasting, for 90, was beautiful and the participants all marveled at the hand-hewn beams and the museum-worthy restoration.”
“The problem with most barn wedding venues is that you only get one barn, so there’s usually no attractive rain plan.”
From the reviews
This venue is wonderful for so many reasons! 10 reasons to be exact. First off, this venue is absolutely breathtaking! There are 3 barns you can use for your reception and/or ceremony, and they are so gorgeous and well taken care of.
We absolutely loved having our wedding at Nipmoose and would definitely choose it again if we did it all over. My husband and I live in NYC, and we originally thought that Nipmoose was going to be too far away from Brooklyn. Once we visited and saw how beautiful Nipmoose was, the distance no longer mattered.
My husband and I had an absolutely perfect wedding at the Historic Barns of Nipmoose. After setting our date and having 2 prior venues fall though, I thought there was no way a place this nice would be able to accommodate us.
We cannot imagine a more perfect place to have had our wedding. The rustic beauty of the venue is just out of this world – the beautifully preserved barns with fall color and a field of corn husks in the background was exactly what we had envisioned, before we even knew Nipmoose existed.
Getting married at Historic Barns of Nipmoose
Historic Barns of Nipmoose comes up for weddings, going by their listing and couples’ reviews. Two things make the tour worth the drive. First, see it at the time of day you'd actually get married — a barn that glows at golden hour can feel very different at noon, and you'll want to walk the path your guests take from parking to ceremony to reception. Second, bring your real questions: the rain plan (where does the ceremony move?), the catering and bar policy, the music curfew, and exactly what's included with the rental — tables, chairs, setup, and teardown are where quotes quietly diverge. Popular dates at barn venues book 12–18 months out, so if the tour feels right, ask what's open in your season before you leave.
