From the reviews
My wife and I had our wedding reception in the Carriage house at PMH and it was absolutely fantastic. We were able to enjoy both the Mansion and the Carriage house and the scenery was beyond our expectations. There was plenty of room for the kids to explore, and the flower arrangements were beautiful.
We were looking for a venue that combined beautiful, old world historic charm with the rustic, relaxed vibe we wanted for our wedding. Park-McCullough was perfect in every way.
Park-McCullough is a hidden gem! An exquisite Vermont treasure where you directly experience history from a grand era. Moreover, it’s a classy, stately, yet unpretentious, magazine cover worthy venue for a wedding or other celebratory occasion!
Very cool historic spot in Bennington, VT! The lawn was beautifully kept and the porch was great to sit out on! I did the guided tour with a volunteer! Well worth the extra $2! Mike was informative about the house and its past inhabitants!
Getting married at Park-McCullough, Historic Governor's Mansion
Park-McCullough, Historic Governor's Mansion comes up for weddings — confirmed on their own site. Two things make the tour worth the drive. First, see it at the time of day you'd actually get married — a barn that glows at golden hour can feel very different at noon, and you'll want to walk the path your guests take from parking to ceremony to reception. Second, bring your real questions: the rain plan (where does the ceremony move?), the catering and bar policy, the music curfew, and exactly what's included with the rental — tables, chairs, setup, and teardown are where quotes quietly diverge. Popular dates at barn venues book 12–18 months out, so if the tour feels right, ask what's open in your season before you leave.
Corporate events & private parties at Park-McCullough, Historic Governor's Mansion
Reviews and the venue's own info mention corporate events, retreats, or private parties at Park-McCullough, Historic Governor's Mansion — barn venues often have real weekday availability since weddings claim the weekends. A quick call answers the three things that matter: weekday and off-season rates, whether the space works for your headcount and A/V needs, and what catering is allowed. If your event lands on a Friday or Saturday in wedding season, ask early.
