This was my first time visiting Gedney Farms and my stay was amazing! The location is perfect for couples looking to stay close to Skii Butternut and to get a little cozy after a day of skiing, snowboarding or tubing. The lodge barn is so rustic and quaint.
I love this place. I'm a wedding photographer and I'm lucky enough to get the opportunity to work at Gedney Farm a few times a year, and it's one of the best venues in the Berkshires. I've never stayed there so I can't comment on the rooms, but holy Mac the setting is incredible!
We had an incredible overnight stay + dinner at Gedney - don't sleep on this special spot! The ambiance is comfortable and approachable, and the hospitality is beyond.
Gorgeous location in the Berkshires. The moment you arrive, you quickly realize you've entered a world of latched doors, random-width floorboards, and stone fireplaces. It's a wonderful feeling, immediately relaxing. The rooms are located in a lovely guest house.
Getting married at Gedney Farm
Gedney Farm comes up for weddings — confirmed on their own site. Two things make the tour worth the drive. First, see it at the time of day you'd actually get married — a barn that glows at golden hour can feel very different at noon, and you'll want to walk the path your guests take from parking to ceremony to reception. Second, bring your real questions: the rain plan (where does the ceremony move?), the catering and bar policy, the music curfew, and exactly what's included with the rental — tables, chairs, setup, and teardown are where quotes quietly diverge. Popular dates at barn venues book 12–18 months out, so if the tour feels right, ask what's open in your season before you leave.
