As a new bride I was nervous about picking a venue that really spoke to me and my fiance. I wanted romantic, glam country chic he wanted to be outdoors and have a good time nothing stuffy. When stumbling upon barn theme weddings I found this hidden gem. Tucked away in the upper Hudson Valley was this perfect venue.
I've been to two fundraisers at Crested Hen Farms. My god is this event space stunning. Wish I had my wedding here-It's gorgeous and the barn is so rustic-chic!
My husband and I had a wonderful experience getting married at Crested Hen Farms. Frank and Richie made us feel comfortable and welcome the first time we came to tour the property, and by the end of our wedding planning process they made us feel like family.
Where to begin?! Frank and Rich are two amazing business owners that genuinely care about their clients. We got married at Crested Hen during covid and they were there for us every step of the way. The venue is beyond gorgeous and they take pristine care of the property.

First, see it at the time of day you'd actually get married — a barn that glows at golden hour can feel very different at noon, and you'll want to walk the path your guests take from parking to ceremony to reception. Second, bring your real questions: the rain plan (where does the ceremony move?), the catering and bar policy, the music curfew, and exactly what's included with the rental — tables, chairs, setup, and teardown are where quotes quietly diverge. Popular dates at barn venues book 12–18 months out, so if the tour feels right, ask what's open in your season before you leave.
