From the reviews
A contra dancer’s perspective: A place famous nationwide for its contra dances. Since Covid, there are fewer dances and they are more sparsely attended. This place holds good dance memories for a lot of people. The hall is solid. The stage is elevated so that you can hear the music well. It has a big kitchen.
This beautiful dance venue started as a barn decades ago. It has a smooth hardwood floor, giant windows, a soaring ceiling, a stage and a historic feel. There are bathrooms and a small kitchen with a big sink. There are about 6 steps up to the front door. I am not aware of handicapped access but may have missed it.
I love dancing at this venue! Hardwood floor, raised stage where the band plays, small kitchen in the back to assist with potlucks before the dance or during the break. I usually get there early so I can find a closer parking spot.
Quintessential New England dance Hall. Love the Monday & Thursday night dances. Live music.
Getting married at Concord Scout House
Concord Scout House comes up for weddings — confirmed on their own site. Two things make the tour worth the drive. First, see it at the time of day you'd actually get married — a barn that glows at golden hour can feel very different at noon, and you'll want to walk the path your guests take from parking to ceremony to reception. Second, bring your real questions: the rain plan (where does the ceremony move?), the catering and bar policy, the music curfew, and exactly what's included with the rental — tables, chairs, setup, and teardown are where quotes quietly diverge. Popular dates at barn venues book 12–18 months out, so if the tour feels right, ask what's open in your season before you leave.
Corporate events & private parties at Concord Scout House
Reviews and the venue's own info mention corporate events, retreats, or private parties at Concord Scout House — barn venues often have real weekday availability since weddings claim the weekends. A quick call answers the three things that matter: weekday and off-season rates, whether the space works for your headcount and A/V needs, and what catering is allowed. If your event lands on a Friday or Saturday in wedding season, ask early.
