From the reviews
Mary (the owner of Bowood barn) is AMAZING!! She is so dedicated to her brides and felt like family throughout the entire planning process. We had to deal with COVID and military changes and she was SO accommodating every step of the way. I could not have asked for a better venue.
We got married here on 5.4.24 and I can’t recommend Bowood Barn and the owner, Mary, enough. From day one when we started looking at venues, hers stood out. She was so eager to answer any questions we had and help in any way.
I recently photographed a wedding at Bowood Barn and it was absolutely beautiful. This venue is special because they truly embrace creativity and help couples bring their unique vision to life in ways you don't find at typical venues.
I couldn't recommend this venue more. Not only was Mary one of the kindest souls I've met, she was so so so helpful and caring. She truly loves what she does and makes sure every bride and groom has absolutely everything they need before, during and after their ceremony.
Getting married at Bowood Barn
Bowood Barn comes up for weddings — confirmed on their own site. Two things make the tour worth the drive. First, see it at the time of day you'd actually get married — a barn that glows at golden hour can feel very different at noon, and you'll want to walk the path your guests take from parking to ceremony to reception. Second, bring your real questions: the rain plan (where does the ceremony move?), the catering and bar policy, the music curfew, and exactly what's included with the rental — tables, chairs, setup, and teardown are where quotes quietly diverge. Popular dates at barn venues book 12–18 months out, so if the tour feels right, ask what's open in your season before you leave.
