From the reviews
What a special, magical evening we enjoyed at ‘1884 on the Bluff’ May 9th. We were celebrating my husband’s 77th birthday and I couldn’t have chosen a more fitting place to make a great memory. We loved the rustic, yet classy ambiance of the old stone farmhouse and, of course, the barn glow.
Attended "In Full Bloom" a soulful yoga experience that brought a heartfelt sense of community with guests. 1884 was impeccable hosts. Every detail was well executed. The service work was perfect. The grounds are beautiful with attention to detail.
I have never been good with words, but wish to give 1884 On The Bluff the very best of reviews. JoDee and Doug were wonderful to work with and gave our daughter and her husband the most unique venue to host their reception. The barn was the perfect setting for the day.
The Summer Serenade is a must to attend. Twinkling lights and music under the stars, meadow flowers to make your own bouquet, unique cocktails, a specially-prepared meal topped with a caramel apple pie to bring home--all together a perfect evening.
Getting married at 1884 On The Bluff
1884 On The Bluff comes up for weddings — confirmed on their own site. Two things make the tour worth the drive. First, see it at the time of day you'd actually get married — a barn that glows at golden hour can feel very different at noon, and you'll want to walk the path your guests take from parking to ceremony to reception. Second, bring your real questions: the rain plan (where does the ceremony move?), the catering and bar policy, the music curfew, and exactly what's included with the rental — tables, chairs, setup, and teardown are where quotes quietly diverge. Popular dates at barn venues book 12–18 months out, so if the tour feels right, ask what's open in your season before you leave.
