The setting
Amenities couples mention
“The venue isn’t easy to get to if you are coming from Seattle, and there isn’t much around in the way of lodging for guests or things to do for out of towners.”
“The bartender also seemed unfriendly/unhappy to be there (venue choice), which obviously isn’t ideal.”
What couples say again and again
“Overall, the venue was picturesque and clean.”
“Coordinators weren’t proactive in making recommendations on amenities we should include (again, why a planner would have helped).”
“They said clean up was so easy after we left.”
From the reviews
We recently celebrated our marriage at Wine & Roses. Overall, the venue was picturesque and clean. To anyone planning their wedding, I would strongly advise hiring a wedding planner as they would be well worth the extra money in dealing with this venue specifically (along with the rest of your vendors).
I recently had the pleasure of creating a Google Virtual Tour and Stills for Wine & Roses in Black Diamond. What a stunning venue. Situated on a hilltop with distant views of Mount Rainier, Wine & Roses features a restored early 20th Century Barn with an elegant bar, dance floor, and spacious loft area, Craftsman…
The venue is beautiful! My family and I were so impressed with how organized the staff was on the day of the event. We showed up in the morning and everything was already set up! My family went out to pick up the outside during the wedding and everything was already taken down!
This place was a top notch wedding venue. The barn is an awesome reception setup and the beauty and openness of the whole estate was prefect. Could have a better audio setup and the neighbor riding his Harley past mid vows was kind of lame but it didn't ruin the day or anything.
Getting married at Wine & Roses Country Estate
Wine & Roses Country Estate comes up for weddings, going by their listing and couples’ reviews. Two things make the tour worth the drive. First, see it at the time of day you'd actually get married — a barn that glows at golden hour can feel very different at noon, and you'll want to walk the path your guests take from parking to ceremony to reception. Second, bring your real questions: the rain plan (where does the ceremony move?), the catering and bar policy, the music curfew, and exactly what's included with the rental — tables, chairs, setup, and teardown are where quotes quietly diverge. Popular dates at barn venues book 12–18 months out, so if the tour feels right, ask what's open in your season before you leave.
