So, my husband and I had our wedding at Windmill Acres in October of 2020. We rented the barn in July of 2020 and I can't even remember how many times we stopped by the barn to drop things off or to get an idea of how we wanted the layout to be, but John and Nancy are the most amazing people to work with.
This is our second time using Windmill Acres for a family wedding. They are superior in service, and knowledge needed to handle a venue of 130 people. The grounds gave everyone ample room to be outside, or in. The bridal suite for the ladies to get ready was perfect.
Our daughter got married this weekend and what a wonderful venue for a wedding or special occasion. John and Nancy owners of the facility are the nicest, and most gracious couple. Highly recommend this for your next event.
Where do I start? John and Nancy are some of the most genuine, caring people and wish only for the best for what ever special occasion you are celebrating at their venue. From the first encounter with them to the very last they put mine and my husbands needs/wants first.
Getting married at Windmill Acres
Windmill Acres comes up for weddings — confirmed on their own site. Two things make the tour worth the drive. First, see it at the time of day you'd actually get married — a barn that glows at golden hour can feel very different at noon, and you'll want to walk the path your guests take from parking to ceremony to reception. Second, bring your real questions: the rain plan (where does the ceremony move?), the catering and bar policy, the music curfew, and exactly what's included with the rental — tables, chairs, setup, and teardown are where quotes quietly diverge. Popular dates at barn venues book 12–18 months out, so if the tour feels right, ask what's open in your season before you leave.
Corporate events & private parties at Windmill Acres
Reviews and the venue's own info mention corporate events, retreats, or private parties at Windmill Acres — barn venues often have real weekday availability since weddings claim the weekends. A quick call answers the three things that matter: weekday and off-season rates, whether the space works for your headcount and A/V needs, and what catering is allowed. If your event lands on a Friday or Saturday in wedding season, ask early.
