“Tulip picking season is gorgeous & I don’t know anywhere else you can get a large mason jar of tulips so inexpensively.”

From the reviews

Wilson’s is the BEST orchard and pumpkin picking. We go every year and always snatch up a mulled hot cider and apple cider donuts in the barn before we leave. The apple picking is super fun, but a little bit of a trek if you choose to walk. Tractor rides are available though!

It’s a great place to have an event, the event staff are, and I quote two of us saying this at the same time while watching them work- a well oiled machine. I mean the choreography of the staff performing set up and transitions to next part of the event, was just beyond normal.

Just visited on June 25th, 2025. The only downside was the weather, hot! Everything else was wonderful. Visited with my wife and 1 year old. We picked strawberries, blueberries, and raspberries. They were all delicious, and we reveled in the satisfaction of picking our own. The general store has a wide selection.

This is such a beautiful piece of property. I love the market. They have lots of great gift ideas and some of their local products. I love their chocolate covered candies. They sell pizza and cider outside the market, where you can purchase and walk the property.

Getting married at Wilson's Orchard & Farm (Iowa City)

Wilson's Orchard & Farm (Iowa City) comes up for weddings — confirmed on their own site. Two things make the tour worth the drive. First, see it at the time of day you'd actually get married — a barn that glows at golden hour can feel very different at noon, and you'll want to walk the path your guests take from parking to ceremony to reception. Second, bring your real questions: the rain plan (where does the ceremony move?), the catering and bar policy, the music curfew, and exactly what's included with the rental — tables, chairs, setup, and teardown are where quotes quietly diverge. Popular dates at barn venues book 12–18 months out, so if the tour feels right, ask what's open in your season before you leave.
