Waveny House in Waveny Park on South Avenue in New Canaan is the house used as Palmer Cortland’s mansion in the soap opera All My Children. It’s the backdrop for film and television as well as our park in the center of New Canaan.
Live music and awsome sunsets make for a great night at this beautiful park on the grounds of a restored mansion. Plenty of parking. Some nice trails. The venue hosts weddings, summer concerts and other events on the numerous patios. We went to see the Bookends Band perform in the summer concert series.

Beautiful Weddings at Waveny House — Highly Recommend! We recently had our Luxe Booth black and white glam photo booth set up for a wedding at Waveny House, and it was an incredible experience all around.
Getting married at Waveny House
Waveny House comes up for weddings — confirmed on their own site. Two things make the tour worth the drive. First, see it at the time of day you'd actually get married — a barn that glows at golden hour can feel very different at noon, and you'll want to walk the path your guests take from parking to ceremony to reception. Second, bring your real questions: the rain plan (where does the ceremony move?), the catering and bar policy, the music curfew, and exactly what's included with the rental — tables, chairs, setup, and teardown are where quotes quietly diverge. Popular dates at barn venues book 12–18 months out, so if the tour feels right, ask what's open in your season before you leave.
