I first found this venue when I was looking for elopement packages. I loved the intimate wedding package they offered and I added on a reception with use of the barn. Weddings of any size are very stressful and Diane made it so easy.
Rented their cute little mobile bar (horse trailer) and Diane hosted a farewell brunch after our wedding at Vale Royal. Wish I could give 10 stars! Diane is super kind, helpful, and communicative. Highly recommend.
We booked a Sunday wedding at The Vale Royal Barn through Tin Roof Weddings. The venue is stunning, especially in the fall, and the pricing for Sunday weddings is hard to beat. If you want an outdoor wedding in Southeastern Michigan, The Vale Royal Barn is an excellent choice.
The Vale Royal Barn-Tin Roof Weddings was our first stop on our "wedding venue shopping trip" and quickly became our last stop and only option. Diane was so accepting, kind and patient as she explained the various ceremony locations.

First, see it at the time of day you'd actually get married — a barn that glows at golden hour can feel very different at noon, and you'll want to walk the path your guests take from parking to ceremony to reception. Second, bring your real questions: the rain plan (where does the ceremony move?), the catering and bar policy, the music curfew, and exactly what's included with the rental — tables, chairs, setup, and teardown are where quotes quietly diverge. Popular dates at barn venues book 12–18 months out, so if the tour feels right, ask what's open in your season before you leave.
