From the reviews
Been to several events here and the experiences have always been top notch. Rob & Deb run an honest small town venue, complete not only with beautiful event spaces, but also with a personal attention to detail that is hard to come by these days. Highly recommend!
Very kind owners and beautiful property make it the perfect setting for an outdoor wedding. I look forward to photographing more weddings here.
Fabulous Venue!! The owners are so sweet and helpful. I not only helped my brother with his wedding there back in Oct. but am not having my wedding there this month. The owners are why I'm coming back!! If you're looking for an even space out in southern Alamance this is the place to go!
This venue was absolutely gorgeous! Deb and her husband were so helpful from start to finish and went above and beyond to make our day perfect. The barn was beautiful and their piglets are absolutely adorable. The bridal suite was amazing and so perfect for getting ready for the day.
Getting married at Thistledown Farm
Thistledown Farm comes up for weddings — confirmed on their own site. Two things make the tour worth the drive. First, see it at the time of day you'd actually get married — a barn that glows at golden hour can feel very different at noon, and you'll want to walk the path your guests take from parking to ceremony to reception. Second, bring your real questions: the rain plan (where does the ceremony move?), the catering and bar policy, the music curfew, and exactly what's included with the rental — tables, chairs, setup, and teardown are where quotes quietly diverge. Popular dates at barn venues book 12–18 months out, so if the tour feels right, ask what's open in your season before you leave.
