From the reviews
I've been a professional wedding photographer in northern California for the past ten years. I have photographed at some amazing venues but Sequoia Retreat Center is one of my all-time favorites for its beauty and flexibility. There is so much you can do with all the spaces available for events.
Though I can’t speak for anyone’s individual experience, the reviews here seem unfairly harsh. We visited SRC this weekend and it was beautiful. The cabins are rustic but clean and comfortable, and the grounds are perfectly maintained.
Hosted my wedding there and wouldn’t change a single thing. Diana and her team are amazing and the property was everything and more.
We were married at this magical venue on 8/21/21, and all of our guests marveled at how beautiful our wedding was. You really do feel like you have traveled to a faraway place when you step onto this property. Everything about it feels authentic. The art is subtle and inviting.
Getting married at The Sequoia Retreat Center
The Sequoia Retreat Center comes up for weddings — confirmed on their own site. Two things make the tour worth the drive. First, see it at the time of day you'd actually get married — a barn that glows at golden hour can feel very different at noon, and you'll want to walk the path your guests take from parking to ceremony to reception. Second, bring your real questions: the rain plan (where does the ceremony move?), the catering and bar policy, the music curfew, and exactly what's included with the rental — tables, chairs, setup, and teardown are where quotes quietly diverge. Popular dates at barn venues book 12–18 months out, so if the tour feels right, ask what's open in your season before you leave.
