Absolutely beautiful! Scenery was just amazing at sunset. Was there for a wedding for my wife’s cousin. It was perfect.
Date: 10/2/2021 Absolutely a beautiful venue and surrounded by amazing crop land. The venue owners are extremely helpful and can assist with anything from simply setting up the tables and chairs to full wedding coordinator.
Absolutely love this place. Our wedding was a dream come true! From the flowers to the rustic feeling of the barn. I love how the barn still looks the a tobacco barn inside, and it also has bathrooms inside the venue, because most barn venues do not.
Amazing venue! I recently went there for a wedding of a family member and I was blown away by the amazing views, privacy, barn, everything for that matter. Me and my future wife even discussed possibly having our wedding there because we liked it so much.
Getting married at The Russell Barn at St. Joe
The Russell Barn at St. Joe comes up for weddings — confirmed on their own site. Two things make the tour worth the drive. First, see it at the time of day you'd actually get married — a barn that glows at golden hour can feel very different at noon, and you'll want to walk the path your guests take from parking to ceremony to reception. Second, bring your real questions: the rain plan (where does the ceremony move?), the catering and bar policy, the music curfew, and exactly what's included with the rental — tables, chairs, setup, and teardown are where quotes quietly diverge. Popular dates at barn venues book 12–18 months out, so if the tour feels right, ask what's open in your season before you leave.
Corporate events & private parties at The Russell Barn at St. Joe
Reviews and the venue's own info mention corporate events, retreats, or private parties at The Russell Barn at St. Joe — barn venues often have real weekday availability since weddings claim the weekends. A quick call answers the three things that matter: weekday and off-season rates, whether the space works for your headcount and A/V needs, and what catering is allowed. If your event lands on a Friday or Saturday in wedding season, ask early.
