From the reviews
We rented 3 glamping tents for a family trip over the summer. Our group wanted to float the river during the day and camp out at night! Loved the private bathrooms with A/C!! Customer service was amazing! If you had any questions they respond very quickly. Tents were super cute and fun.
Clean sleeping spot, super clean private bathroom with cabinet space to store your toiletry items, clean pad for hanging out and grilling. The trail to the shore and picnic table is exactly .3 mi as stated at the trailhead. It is all downhill and alllll uphill on the return so be prepared.
My family stayed two nights in Eagle Rock Cabin. It is positively dreamy. Completely charming and cozy. The vintage decor is perfect for this stone cabin. You feel transported to another time and place.
We stayed in the Buffalo Cabin and it was amazing!! The view right on the edge of the bluff overlooking the Illinois river is spectacular! The cabin is super clean and the beds are very comfortable. The whole place is serene and relaxing with many tall trees like a canopy.
Getting married at The River Bluff Cabins
The River Bluff Cabins comes up for weddings — confirmed on their own site. Two things make the tour worth the drive. First, see it at the time of day you'd actually get married — a barn that glows at golden hour can feel very different at noon, and you'll want to walk the path your guests take from parking to ceremony to reception. Second, bring your real questions: the rain plan (where does the ceremony move?), the catering and bar policy, the music curfew, and exactly what's included with the rental — tables, chairs, setup, and teardown are where quotes quietly diverge. Popular dates at barn venues book 12–18 months out, so if the tour feels right, ask what's open in your season before you leave.
