From the reviews
When my fiancé (at the time) and I saw that there was a wedding venue in our neighborhood, we knew we had to check it out. When we toured The Lodge at Mallard Landing, we fell in love with it! Meeting the owners, Shawn and Susan, was just icing on the cake. They were such a delight to work with.
We absolutely loved the owners, property, wildlife, and stunning view! It was the perfect get away! Shawn and Susan are the most kind and generous hosts. 5 Star recommend this amazing venue for any occasion!
My husband and I toured this well appointed place several months ago and it’s a ‘stunner’. Everything, absolutely everything, including the overnight accommodations, is thoughtfully prepared for guests.
This place is beautiful! We would have loved to have the wedding at this venue but it was actually not large enough for the amount of people we are having to invite! The owners are so kind and have the best hearts And do great charity work and events for children!
Getting married at The Lodge Alabama
The Lodge Alabama comes up for weddings — confirmed on their own site. Two things make the tour worth the drive. First, see it at the time of day you'd actually get married — a barn that glows at golden hour can feel very different at noon, and you'll want to walk the path your guests take from parking to ceremony to reception. Second, bring your real questions: the rain plan (where does the ceremony move?), the catering and bar policy, the music curfew, and exactly what's included with the rental — tables, chairs, setup, and teardown are where quotes quietly diverge. Popular dates at barn venues book 12–18 months out, so if the tour feels right, ask what's open in your season before you leave.
Corporate events & private parties at The Lodge Alabama
Reviews and the venue's own info mention corporate events, retreats, or private parties at The Lodge Alabama — barn venues often have real weekday availability since weddings claim the weekends. A quick call answers the three things that matter: weekday and off-season rates, whether the space works for your headcount and A/V needs, and what catering is allowed. If your event lands on a Friday or Saturday in wedding season, ask early.
