From the reviews
Such an amazing venue for a wedding, our family and friends loved it. We had a small intimate wedding with 30 people total. It took place under the mulberry tree and we all ate outside on the biergarten tables decorated with beautiful candlelight right by the fire.
Not only have I photographed some of my favorite weddings here, but I also had my own wedding reception here! Everything about The Kester Homestead, from start to finish, is perfection. I cannot recommend enough! Mackenzie, Blaine and their team have created the venue that Central New York needed.
The most beautiful and seamless experience ever. I would highly recommend booking the 1854 house for the weekend when planning out your wedding, you won’t regret it.
Great experience, venue, staff, and food! My wife and I attended our friend's wedding here and had a blast. We stayed in the house with the rest of the bridal party. The rooms were air conditioned and cool. The hallways got a tad warm, but nothing the pool can't fix.
Getting married at The Kester Homestead
The Kester Homestead comes up for weddings — confirmed on their own site. Two things make the tour worth the drive. First, see it at the time of day you'd actually get married — a barn that glows at golden hour can feel very different at noon, and you'll want to walk the path your guests take from parking to ceremony to reception. Second, bring your real questions: the rain plan (where does the ceremony move?), the catering and bar policy, the music curfew, and exactly what's included with the rental — tables, chairs, setup, and teardown are where quotes quietly diverge. Popular dates at barn venues book 12–18 months out, so if the tour feels right, ask what's open in your season before you leave.
