What couples say again and again
“The venue was beautiful and felt like a great size for our group of 100 with dinner under the tent and reception in Marion Hall.”
“And deep appreciation for Victoria and her team for going above and beyond several times to create an incredible experience for my business partner and me.”
“The food was incredible - we got many complements, especially on the vegetarian dishes - which can be an afterthought.”
“The room was immaculate and thoughtfully designed, the bathroom was spacious and utterly relaxing, and the room service was quick and delicious.”
From the reviews
Beautiful place for a meal or wedding type event. We had a dinner meal in a Friday night. Reservations are encouraged. We didn’t have them and were seated quickly outside. It was amazing. The have huge peacocks on the grounds strolling around. The place is immaculate. Food was good and averaged about $45/pp wo alcohol.
I recently stayed at the Inn at Green Pastures and had a truly excellent experience. The property’s oak-shaded grounds and rich history create a relaxing, elegant retreat in the city. The staff were outstanding - friendly, attentive, and genuinely focused on making guests feel taken care of.
Green Pastures made for the perfect Sunday brunch wedding. The venue pays homage to the home's heritage and the natural beauty of Austin, along with a family of peacocks roaming the premises.
I'm biased towards Green Pastures because I asked my wife to marry me in the Gazebo out back behind the restaurant after a great dinner. 8 months later we got married in the very same gazebo. Dinner: as good as it gets in Austin for contemporary American cuisine.
Getting married at The Inn at Green Pastures
The Inn at Green Pastures comes up for weddings — confirmed on their own site. Two things make the tour worth the drive. First, see it at the time of day you'd actually get married — a barn that glows at golden hour can feel very different at noon, and you'll want to walk the path your guests take from parking to ceremony to reception. Second, bring your real questions: the rain plan (where does the ceremony move?), the catering and bar policy, the music curfew, and exactly what's included with the rental — tables, chairs, setup, and teardown are where quotes quietly diverge. Popular dates at barn venues book 12–18 months out, so if the tour feels right, ask what's open in your season before you leave.
