From the reviews
My husband and I spent months looking for a wedding venue. We went all over Ohio and finally found HPR. This venue is not only the most gorgeous place but it hold the kindest people you will ever meet. We fell in love immediately and truly had the wedding of our dreams.
I photographed a wedding for the first time at The Hitching Post Ranch a couple of weeks ago and it was the best experience! They have really thought about everything and it's a beautiful place for photos. My favorite parts were all the swings and the ponds; it's so peaceful.
My daughter had her wedding at the Hitching Post Ranch. It is a beautiful setting with all the facilities necessary to have a really memorable day. All of our guests commented on how scenic the area is and how nice the venue was. The owners really run this place well and were always available if needed.
The hitching post ranch was the first venue that me and my husband toured, and after we knew that we had to be married there. The owners, Mick and Lisa, really pour their hearts into this and are the sweetest people. Beth, who is a wedding coordinator there, made our day go so smooth and is amazing and so helpful.
Getting married at The Hitching Post Ranch
The Hitching Post Ranch comes up for weddings — confirmed on their own site. Two things make the tour worth the drive. First, see it at the time of day you'd actually get married — a barn that glows at golden hour can feel very different at noon, and you'll want to walk the path your guests take from parking to ceremony to reception. Second, bring your real questions: the rain plan (where does the ceremony move?), the catering and bar policy, the music curfew, and exactly what's included with the rental — tables, chairs, setup, and teardown are where quotes quietly diverge. Popular dates at barn venues book 12–18 months out, so if the tour feels right, ask what's open in your season before you leave.
Corporate events & private parties at The Hitching Post Ranch
Reviews and the venue's own info mention corporate events, retreats, or private parties at The Hitching Post Ranch — barn venues often have real weekday availability since weddings claim the weekends. A quick call answers the three things that matter: weekday and off-season rates, whether the space works for your headcount and A/V needs, and what catering is allowed. If your event lands on a Friday or Saturday in wedding season, ask early.
