WHAT a beautiful place to have your wedding! We had our wedding this past weekend and Todd & Kristi were absolutely amazing and super accommodating with all of our needs. They have numerous beds on site, we used this for wedding party, and people that helped us make our day a SUCCESS.

Todd and Kristi are wonderful people. The Hitching Post and associated bungalos and bunkrooms are well maintained and comfortable. Amazing scenery for georgous photos! Personalize your decorations and transform the barn to reflect your theme.

Whether it is for a wedding or a quiet get-away... it is PERFECT! Beautiful old barn and oak tree sets off this place. They have 4 spots for RV or campers to plug in. Or if you want a cabin/bunkhouse... they have it!

Getting married at The Hitching Post

The Hitching Post comes up for weddings — confirmed on their own site. Two things make the tour worth the drive. First, see it at the time of day you'd actually get married — a barn that glows at golden hour can feel very different at noon, and you'll want to walk the path your guests take from parking to ceremony to reception. Second, bring your real questions: the rain plan (where does the ceremony move?), the catering and bar policy, the music curfew, and exactly what's included with the rental — tables, chairs, setup, and teardown are where quotes quietly diverge. Popular dates at barn venues book 12–18 months out, so if the tour feels right, ask what's open in your season before you leave.

Corporate events & private parties at The Hitching Post

Reviews and the venue's own info mention corporate events, retreats, or private parties at The Hitching Post — barn venues often have real weekday availability since weddings claim the weekends. A quick call answers the three things that matter: weekday and off-season rates, whether the space works for your headcount and A/V needs, and what catering is allowed. If your event lands on a Friday or Saturday in wedding season, ask early.
