From the reviews
Amber and I were married at the Historic Wakefield Barn last month, and it could not have been more perfect. It is a beautiflul venue inside and out. The pictures are amazing! Dana was our coordinator and Brent was the venue manager. They did a great job at every phase.
The Wakefield Historical Barn was the most beautiful and perfect venue we could have imagined for our wedding day. The views were absolutely stunning and created such a magical atmosphere for both us and our guests. Our wedding planner, Dana Clayton, truly went above and beyond for every single request.
The 90's unplugged candlelight concert was so awesome! Zombie and Teen Spirit were my favorite ensembles. Very cute and intimate venue. I would definitely come back!
Beautiful setting for a concert! Went to the candlelight concert by Fever and loved the mood. Parking: not close to the main event center so be prepared for a walk. We parked in the metal arena/covered area at the entrance, and it was sand-covered. Be prepared if wearing heels!
Getting married at The Historic Wakefield Barn
The Historic Wakefield Barn comes up for weddings — confirmed on their own site. Two things make the tour worth the drive. First, see it at the time of day you'd actually get married — a barn that glows at golden hour can feel very different at noon, and you'll want to walk the path your guests take from parking to ceremony to reception. Second, bring your real questions: the rain plan (where does the ceremony move?), the catering and bar policy, the music curfew, and exactly what's included with the rental — tables, chairs, setup, and teardown are where quotes quietly diverge. Popular dates at barn venues book 12–18 months out, so if the tour feels right, ask what's open in your season before you leave.
Corporate events & private parties at The Historic Wakefield Barn
Reviews and the venue's own info mention corporate events, retreats, or private parties at The Historic Wakefield Barn — barn venues often have real weekday availability since weddings claim the weekends. A quick call answers the three things that matter: weekday and off-season rates, whether the space works for your headcount and A/V needs, and what catering is allowed. If your event lands on a Friday or Saturday in wedding season, ask early.
