We held our cocktail hour and reception at The Hinterland in Oct 2023 and it was the most perfect venue for our wedding day. As soon as we toured the barn and met Kristyn we knew right away this is where we wanted to get married.
The moment I set eyes on The Hinterland I knew it was where I wanted to get married. Kristyn has turned this quaint, rustic barn into a magical, sparkling wedding venue. The lighting gives off such a romantic and intimate vibe.
I just had my wedding ceremony and reception at The Hinterland I cannot say enough great things about the venue and working with the owner, Kristyn. She is super responsive, professional and well-organized. Kristyn is really easy to work with and the venue is absolutely beautiful!!
Both Kristyn and Kristin were wonderful to work with! Kristin was my day of coordinator and I did not have to worry about anything, everything went smoothly and turned out beautifully. The venue is stunning and has a gorgeous hill for photos. So excited to get our pictures back from our photographer.
Getting married at The Hinterland
The Hinterland comes up for weddings — confirmed on their own site. Two things make the tour worth the drive. First, see it at the time of day you'd actually get married — a barn that glows at golden hour can feel very different at noon, and you'll want to walk the path your guests take from parking to ceremony to reception. Second, bring your real questions: the rain plan (where does the ceremony move?), the catering and bar policy, the music curfew, and exactly what's included with the rental — tables, chairs, setup, and teardown are where quotes quietly diverge. Popular dates at barn venues book 12–18 months out, so if the tour feels right, ask what's open in your season before you leave.
