What a nice place. Rustic yet modern at the same time. Very deceiving from the outside. Very unique. A small menu but what we ate was delish. The pot roast soup was so yummy and the Italian lunchmeat sandwich was delish.
My husband and I had our wedding reception here in June 2025. It was on a Friday. Pros: the size of the venue, the food, the outdoor accommodations, and no service charge on the total (just up front cost), open to your fun ideas (we did a t shirt toss) and have a wide variety of menu options.
The Design Barn is a one of a kind venue, we looked at so many places and as soon as we saw it we knew we wanted to get married there. From planning, to the food, our event coordinator Alex, Decor, it was all superb and we couldn’t have asked for anything better.
Beautiful new event space for Northwest Indiana. I recently attended the Northwest Indiana Forum's annual event here. Great space for corporate events! Modern and unique. Service has been great and the food and drinks were equally good. This would be a perfect place for weddings and parties.
