This place is rustic charm. Converted 1700 farm house I think. Super quaint and cozy around the holiday time, I love the trees and decorations they put up. We had a reservation on a Sunday for brunch and we were more than 15 min late. They were very nice about it and sat us anyway.
Five stars all around! The Barrow House hosted my baby shower Labor Day weekend in the Barn and it couldn’t have been a better event! Melissa was a great event coordinator, very attentive and thorough from day one.
The Barrow House is a unique dining spot nestled in the suburbs of North Jersey offering a rustic atmosphere. The interior is beautifully decorated like a farmhouse with each room having a unique theme. The menu is standard American fare. We enjoyed the Barrow House's brunch for a family celebration.
Melissa assisted with booking The Barn and coordinating our daughter’s intimate (non-traditional) Sweet 16. She was extremely pleasant to work with. The whole process was a breeze from start to finish. The staff is professional. The food is great. Highly recommend :)
Getting married at The Barrow House
The Barrow House comes up for weddings — confirmed on their own site. Two things make the tour worth the drive. First, see it at the time of day you'd actually get married — a barn that glows at golden hour can feel very different at noon, and you'll want to walk the path your guests take from parking to ceremony to reception. Second, bring your real questions: the rain plan (where does the ceremony move?), the catering and bar policy, the music curfew, and exactly what's included with the rental — tables, chairs, setup, and teardown are where quotes quietly diverge. Popular dates at barn venues book 12–18 months out, so if the tour feels right, ask what's open in your season before you leave.
