Amazing! The entire wedding experience was outstanding, from the time my daughter booked the venue, to the wedding day itself, everything was amazing! Paula (owner) and Bethany (wedding planner) are true professionals and are top notch in customer service and satisfaction.
If you’re looking for the perfect NC mountain venue for your wedding, look no further. My husband and I recently got married here 9/20/25, and it was absolutely without a doubt the best day of our lives. The Barn on New River and their staff had so much to do with making the vision for our wedding possible.
The Barn on New River was the first wedding venue my now husband and I visited and needless to say, nothing compared. I also loved Paula the second I met her and she was just so down to earth and wanted to know who you were as people, not just about your wedding day visions and dreams.
The Barn on New River was one of the best decisions we made for our special day!! It was the first and only venue that we toured, and knew it was the one from the start.
Getting married at The Barn on New River
The Barn on New River comes up for weddings — confirmed on their own site. Two things make the tour worth the drive. First, see it at the time of day you'd actually get married — a barn that glows at golden hour can feel very different at noon, and you'll want to walk the path your guests take from parking to ceremony to reception. Second, bring your real questions: the rain plan (where does the ceremony move?), the catering and bar policy, the music curfew, and exactly what's included with the rental — tables, chairs, setup, and teardown are where quotes quietly diverge. Popular dates at barn venues book 12–18 months out, so if the tour feels right, ask what's open in your season before you leave.
