As a DJ, this venue is ok. There's plenty of square footage for dancing and such but some things to note: The place is pretty drafty, so the outside temperature will be the inside temperature. Next, there aren't many power outlets, so bring extension cords.
Beautiful place for a wedding or other event. The owner was very nice and walked me around to see it when I had unexpectedly stopped by. It is exactly what I was looking for in planning my future wedding.
Not only is the Barn on Jackson the most beautiful venue EVER, it has so many wonderful bonus features. First and foremost, Kari and her husband are the owners of the barn and immediately felt like family.
As a wedding DJ I found this venue and property to have great flow and perfect to host a small to large group. The bridal suite has easy access, plenty of parking, nice outdoor ceremony site, and great open concept and tall ceilings for dinner and dance.
