The Acres was the absolute perfect place for our son's wedding. Adam and Kimberly provided the most thorough service before and during the wedding helping everyone to be completely comfortable and well taken care of.
We hosted our son’s adoption celebration at The Acres Event Center in Council Bluffs, and it truly couldn’t have been more perfect. From start to finish, everything was seamless and stress-free, which allowed us to fully soak in such a meaningful day. The event space itself is incredible.
Our local group of members of the Gideons International hosted a Pastors Appreciation luncheon on April 1, 2025. Between guests and members, approximately 50 people attended. We arranged for a caterer to come in for the meal items and supplied drinks and dessert ourselves.
We had the pleasure of working at The Acres, and from start to finish, the experience was nothing short of amazing. Kimberly, the coordinator and owner, was absolutely wonderful — professional, communicative, and incredibly easy to work with.
Getting married at The Acres
The Acres comes up for weddings — confirmed on their own site. Two things make the tour worth the drive. First, see it at the time of day you'd actually get married — a barn that glows at golden hour can feel very different at noon, and you'll want to walk the path your guests take from parking to ceremony to reception. Second, bring your real questions: the rain plan (where does the ceremony move?), the catering and bar policy, the music curfew, and exactly what's included with the rental — tables, chairs, setup, and teardown are where quotes quietly diverge. Popular dates at barn venues book 12–18 months out, so if the tour feels right, ask what's open in your season before you leave.
