From the reviews
Terry Bison Ranch is a great family day. There are yard games to play, roping is our favorite. The outdoor chess set is cool and very fun for all ages. Most of the animals you get to see and pet are very friendly.
We had a nice time here. It's an interesting place for sure. The staff was kind and we really enjoyed feeding the Bison on the train ride. There were treats provided free of charge on the train to feed the Bison which was awesome. We did not stay at the resort, but the place has a rustic feel to it.
The train is the main attraction, $20 but worth it, considering there was no other admission cost. You could go and see the animals for free and not take the train to the bison. The audio system on the train sucked, couldn't hear what the driver was saying. Train ride was 1 hour. A lot of RV's were staying there.
My fiance and I stopped in for a few hours to see all the animals. We went on the train to feed the bison and it was a lot of fun! We were the only ones on the train so the man driving it allowed us to take our time and gave us extra food to feed to them.
Getting married at Terry Bison Ranch Resort
Terry Bison Ranch Resort comes up for weddings — confirmed on their own site. Two things make the tour worth the drive. First, see it at the time of day you'd actually get married — a barn that glows at golden hour can feel very different at noon, and you'll want to walk the path your guests take from parking to ceremony to reception. Second, bring your real questions: the rain plan (where does the ceremony move?), the catering and bar policy, the music curfew, and exactly what's included with the rental — tables, chairs, setup, and teardown are where quotes quietly diverge. Popular dates at barn venues book 12–18 months out, so if the tour feels right, ask what's open in your season before you leave.
Corporate events & private parties at Terry Bison Ranch Resort
Reviews and the venue's own info mention corporate events, retreats, or private parties at Terry Bison Ranch Resort — barn venues often have real weekday availability since weddings claim the weekends. A quick call answers the three things that matter: weekday and off-season rates, whether the space works for your headcount and A/V needs, and what catering is allowed. If your event lands on a Friday or Saturday in wedding season, ask early.
