This is a lovely ranch BUT there are 4 things you should know before booking: 1. Don’t expect to ever lope with a horse. Don’t sign up for the lope rides, you should book all of the other horse lessons instead- you can always get into a lope ride the day of, if you are one of the lucky ones to pass.
We stayed here for three nights for a wedding at the ranch. Everything about our stay was incredible! I highly recommend this ranch as a place to stay for a couples retreat, a family vacation or reunion/larger group. Property: The property is SO beautiful and is highly walkable with nicely landscaped paths throughout.
We had an incredible experience at the Tanque Verde Ranch Cookout! The setting was beautiful—from the short desert walk to the event area, to the charming entrance, warm lighting, rustic bar, live folk/country music, and large fire pits surrounded by tables.
Great place. Karin in guest services is amazing. Took my wife and daughters all around the property to take pics. Terry and Valerie were also amazing at the front office.
Getting married at Tanque Verde Ranch

First, see it at the time of day you'd actually get married — a barn that glows at golden hour can feel very different at noon, and you'll want to walk the path your guests take from parking to ceremony to reception. Second, bring your real questions: the rain plan (where does the ceremony move?), the catering and bar policy, the music curfew, and exactly what's included with the rental — tables, chairs, setup, and teardown are where quotes quietly diverge.
